HANDIWORK / SOCIAL WORK
The Ridge Creative Center invites all to a community happening at The First Free Church at 6501 Sicth Avenue at 6:15. Textiles from different countries will be on display, as well as demonstrations, including, but not limited to: knitting, crocheting, and quilting. Handiwork often served as social unification for communities, such as at quilting bees. At other times it served as a connector threading grandmother to mother to daughter. There will be a hand-on project with paper weaving. Artist Isabelle Garbani will be working with all who attend and wish to be part of her exciting art piece, Post War Blues - www.crochetchallenge.com. You are encouraged to bring in a piece of handiwork from your family or one that you cherish for a show and tell. This will be followed by a discussion about the cultural differences in handiwork and the similarities. Light refreshments will be served. The cost is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children.

This form converts these to other characters that use about 5 characters each. They don't
show in the count box so you may get the title chopped if you use more than a couple of
these characters. Easy way to prevent this is don't use punctuation in title at all. Thanks.
